A new Eurobarometer survey published on Sunday found 93% of Europeans think climate change is the greatest challenge facing the world right now.
A Eurobarometer survey carried out between the 15 March and 14 April revealed that European citizens believe that climate change is the world’s most serious problem.
When asked which is the most serious, more than a quarter (29%) chose between climate change (18%), degradation of nature (7%) or health problems caused by pollution (4%).
In terms of policy responses, 90% agree that greenhouse gas emissions should be kept to a minimum while the remaining emissions should be compensated for in order to render the EU climate neutral by 2050.
In other words, they already make sustainable and green choices to protect the planet.
