Connecticut is set for an extremely cold start to the weekend, with wind gusts of as much as minus 15 degrees before a winter storm could yield several gallons of snow by Sunday night, the National Weather Service said Monday.
The National Weather Service (NWS) issued a dangerous weather forecast for parts of eastern Kentucky on Thursday as a “major” winter storm was expected into the weekend.
The snow is expected to convert into a wintry mix of snow and sleet before heading into rain on Monday, when maximum temperatures are forecast to drop to the low 20s.
Mild weather will continue today. However, there is a chance for rain showers this afternoon, followed by a chance of snow showers across the higher elevations tonight into Fri morning. A significant winter storm is possible this weekend, mainly Sun to Sun night. #kywx #ekywx pic.twitter.com/N8tDdGEK9Z
