Prince William urged humanity to ‘reset our relationship with nature and our trajectory as a species’ to prevent a climate catastrophe.
In a message video played at a gala given for the charity Conservation International, Prince William said the coming decade will be “one of our greatest ever tests”
He said that those most at risk around the world “and those who have done the least to cause climate change” had been worst hit.
William called on those in attendance to join the millions of young people struggling to find solutions to the problem.
In October last year the Duke received the Duke’s Medal of Freedom at the Palace.
The Five Prize objectives over the next decade are: protect and restore Nature, reduce Air Pollution, revive the oceans, build a litter-free world, and tackle climate change.
William said he hopes people across the world, whatever their backgrounds or beliefs, can ‘join this shared optimism for the future and conviction that change is truly possible’.
