Israeli start-up creates balloons to capture carbon dioxide

An Israeli start-up has taken inspiration from the upper atmosphere to solve the global warming issue, hoping to send fleets of balloons that will capture carbon dioxide for recycling.

Carbon emissions from the burning of fossil fuels and industrial farming are the main contributor to climate change.

But removing CO2 from the atmosphere at standard temperatures takes too much energy for governments and businesses to consider it inexpensive.

High Hopes Labs has created a system that takes carbon away from places where it looks like solidified, far above Earth.

The frozen carbon is removed from the air to be returned to Earth and recycled.
