Joe Biden Name Climate Team, Says “we’re in a crisis”

Joe Biden, the nominee, has told key members of his environmental team that making a uniform response to climate change a priority would be a priority.

Deb Haaland of New Mexico would become the first Indian to lead the interior department, which has exerted influence on tribes throughout the country.

Michael Regan, North Carolina’s chief environmental watchdog, is tipped to run the EPA.

Also a key focus would be the search for the poorest, working class or minority groups worst affected by fossil fuel pollution and climate change.

If she is confirmed by the Senate, she would be the first Indian elected to a cabinet post.
