The World celebrates the Environment Day on 5 June to highlight the major challenges facing the environment as a result of global warming, pollution and deforestation.
World Environment Day was introduced in 1972 by the United Nations General Assembly on the occasion of the Stockholm Conference and was first observed in 1974.
