Minister for Climate Action Simon Birmingham has dismissed suggestions that the Nationals are set to dominate the government’s climate change policy.
Finance Minister Simon Birmingham has rejected suggestions the National would dictate climate action before a crucial meeting of its junior coalition partners.
Scott Morrison showed his cabinet polls last week showing 80 per cent were in favour of a net zero emissions target by 2050, but support greatly decreased according to how much they received on the cost of setting a target.
It is unclear if the national assembly will take a decision during the meeting about whether to accept the plan.
