The last winter storm expected tonight is expected to bring cooler temperatures and heavy snow to the mountains across the nation, the National Weather Service reported Monday.
‘The first half of today is going to be the driest, the second half is when we’re going to see that rain and even snow for our local mountains finally moving in,’ NBC 7 meteorologist Sheena Parveen said in her forecast on Monday.
“Right now we’re looking at some passing mid- and high-level clouds, but we’re finally going to see a little bit of sun and we’re not expecting any more rain today,” meteorologist Elizabeth Schenk said Sunday, with the heat easing slightly after a few minutes.
A winter storm warning applies for the mountains from Monday afternoon until early Tuesday morning.
