Prime Minister Imran Khan has highlighted that it has become unavoidable to prevent development of cities to protect them against the effects of climate change.
During the signing ceremony in the German capital between the Ministry of Climate Change and the World Bank to begin the Green Stimulus programme – Turning Concept into Reality, Prime Minister Imran Khan said that it was very important that Pakistanis as a nation think and protect our future generations.
Emphasizing the need to protect green space in and around urban centers, he said that in cities like Lahore, canals, rivers, watercourses and air are polluted, which threatens human lives, in particular of the elderly and children.
