Authorities lifted any evacuation orders after crews made great strides in fighting a wildfire sparked by a woman last week, destroying dozens of homes near Shasta Lake in Northern California, authorities said Wednesday.
The Fawn Fire burned at least 35 square miles and destroys 185 buildings through September 28 in California.
Alexandra Souverneva, 30, is being held in the Shasta County Jail after being indicted on charges of aggravated arson under a state of emergency in California, state prosecutors said.
Following their arrest and an interview with a CAL fire spokesman, Souverneva was linked to another conflagration in Shasta County, about 8km (5 miles) from the Fawn Fire.
The Fawn fire is the latest blaze to send Californians on the run this year.
