Please avoid travel today! We know it's hard to stay home and put things off you want to get done, but sometimes, the things you think can't wait actually can. You are worthy of a day or two at home vs. this. #WeAreFamily #Snow #StaySafe https://t.co/KgurjAAxn1

We can't stress this enough. Please avoid travel if at all possible during winter storms, especially when ice is present.
If you must travel:
❄️ Increase following distance to 5 seconds.
❄️ Don't pass plows.
❄️ Brake very lightly to keep tires from slipping on pavement. pic.twitter.com/6Yol46x0Qi— VDOT (@VaDOT) January 16, 2022
