A mammoth climate change survey shows that huge numbers of people in every state of Australia want to see genuine carbon action, including abandoning the Government’s current plan for a gas-fuelled recovery, shifting to renewables instead, and it’s bloody huge news.
A poll by the Australian Conservation Stiftung of more than 15.000 voting-age Australians examined how mitigation matter when people thought about their vote if the government were to do more about climate change and the support people have for fossil fuels.
Does that has a message to those of us who want to combat climate change: these changes will not take place unless we also change who is in my government?
