Firefighters gained an upper hand as wildfires swept across Southern California on Sunday, engulfing thousands of people and destroying more than 100 buildings near Shasta Lake.

Quarry personnel reported that they had seen a woman passer-by acting “irrationally” before the fire broke out, Cal Fire said.

One woman approached the fire department, saying she was dehydrated and requires medical assistance, the publication reported.

When asked about Cal Fire and the police, officials concluded that a fire was being caused, the officials said.

Bridgett said she did have a lighter in her bag.

Cal Fire said the fire was reported about 4: 45 p.m. on Wednesday in a secluded ravine on a property next to the J.F. Shea and Mountain Gate Quarries.
