Later this week it will get even warmer, with temperatures forecast to top 26C – which will make it hotter than Mexico.

The Mercury could rise to 21C in London on Monday, meaning the capital is hotter than popular tourist destinations such as Turkey and the Costa del Sol.

On a beautiful Saturday, Brits flocked to the sea to snag a few rays while beaches such as Bournemouth were awash in sunlight.
