New Delhi (India), Sept 13 (ANI)- India and the US launched the 2030 Agenda Partnership’s Climate Action and Finance Mobilisation Dialogue on Monday.
The US President’s climate envoy, John Kerry, who will visit India from 12th to 14th of September, praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi for his ambitious climate policy, adding that India showed that economic development and clean energy could go hand in hand.
Kerry met today with EU energy secretary RK Singh here in New Delhi during his visit to India to combat the climate crisis.
Earlier in the day Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced the India-US partnership on climate and clean energy, leveraging investments and green partnerships.

The US-India partnership on the 2030 Agenda was announced by the President, Joe Biden, and Prime Minister, Narendra Modi, at the April 2021 Summit of Heads of State and Government on Climate Change.
The Ambassador’s trip will support the US bilateral and multilateral climate efforts in advance of the 26th Conference of the Parties (COP26) to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) to take place in Glasgow, United Kingdom, from 31 October to 12 November 2021.
Meanwhile, Secretary of State S Jaishankar also applauded Kerry.
