A fire in an apartment building in New Hampshire has set off blazes that left at least 20 people dead in the early hours of Saturday.
An apartment fire in Santee evacuated eight residents on Sunday, including a resident who was trying to put out the blaze and may have been inhaling fumes, a fire spokesman said.
The Santee Fire Department declared the fire a second-alert level because the flames were threatening adjacent unit of the building in the 6.310-square-foot Magnolia Avenue block, OnScene.TV. reported.
A resident tried to put out the fire in a home on Magnolia Avenue near Princess Joan Road, firefighter chief Kyle Moyneur said.
The American Red Cross will help internally displaced residents who had two pets too.
