Yadav said India strongly believes climate change is a global problem only solved through international co-operation and multilateralism.

The IPCC Climate Change and International Cooperation Report makes a significant contribution to global efforts to combat climate change.

He also stated that the 6th evaluation report fully confirmed India’s position on the need for scale, scale, and rate of climate finance.

According to the IPCC report, global emissions can be halved by 2030 with major changes in the energy sector, including the significant diversion in fossil fuel use. This underscores the necessary steps to curb global warming now in order to limit global warming to 1.5 degrees Celsius.

The Minister said that India would continue to be the voice of ambition and justice on behalf of the developing world.
