Millions of Americans have faced treacherous weather conditions as a massive storm system reaches the eastern United States.
At 5am on January 18 the Binghamton National Weather Service issued a weather advisory to snow on roads with sleet and snow conditions for morning rush hour.
The storm which delivered heavy snowfall, ice, and tornadoes over the weekend in the Midwest is moving through the Northeast Monday morning, according to the latest National Weather Service forecast.
Snow bands below Finger Lakes could add up to two centimetres of extra snow, meteorologists say.
The weather system will push towards the northeast by the late afternoon or evening but gusts are expected to continue throughout the region into late night, according the latest forecast.
